Janine Rodriguez

My name is Janine and I have been an Erin fan for five years now. Erin has been an inspiration to me since I first heard about her story from Dr. Swim when I was taking classes at A&M in 2003. How can I let the minor setbacks I face in my life slow me down when she doesn't even let cancer slow her down? For all the days that she has restored my energy and lifted my spirits, I had to send something in for the Erin Project:

A little bit about me:

I work in a medical lab in Austin (yes, an Aggie in Longhornland) testing plasma for use in pharmaceutical products like vaccines. I live with my best friend Sam that I've known since kindergarten and my two cats Steve and Jeeves (the picture I've sent is of me and Jeeves). I like to go rollerskating at adult skate night during the week because I'm not very good at it and it makes me feel ridiculous when younger kids whiz past me on the rink while I'm struggling to simply stay upright. My favorite book is Siddhartha. If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend it.

Keep your chin up, no matter what. You've touched more people than you know and I'll never forget you!
